I’ve been capturing rehearsals and performance photography since I first picked up a camera and I’ve been lucky where it’s got me. I’ve been on TV and film sets, in West End and regional theatres, as well as rehearsal studios all over the map.
Sometimes the subjects are big name actors, singers and directors, sometimes students, sometimes simply people who are brilliant at their craft. Performance photography possibly feels as close to something artistic as I get and I love the challenge of it. Dramatic moving moments on stage should look dramatic when the action is frozen. Always.
